SDL Technologies Pte Ltd is a spin-off company of Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech, formerly Gintic Institute of Manufacturing Technology) -- SDL benefits from technical know-how its parent company offers.

Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology, is Singapore's national applied research and development (R & D) institute in manufacturing technology funded by the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), previously National Science & Technology Board. It was formed in 1993 upon the merger of the Singapore Institute of Computer Integrated Manufacturing and the Institute of Manufacturing Technology. SIMTech is committed to enhance the competitiveness of Singapore's industries through the generation and application of advanced manufacturing technology. To date, it has completed more than 600 projects for close to 400 companies, an affirmation of its success in collaborating with industries. Spearheading R&D endeavors, SIMTech's technological expertise represents a strong foundation for SDL.

SDL Technologies Pte Ltd was formed in 2000 by Dr. Lu Li, a technopreneur and former researcher of SIMTech. Together with SIMTech, Dr. Lu's mission was clear: to build a company that provides unsurpassed PC-based CNC solutions. At SDL Technologies, we strongly believe that the future of CNC control lies in open-platform PC technology.

Our flagship products, CNCplus series (CNCplusT^TM, CNCplusM^TM, CNCplusG^TM, CNCplusH^TM) and CNCSWIFT^TM, are multipurpose CNC software with Graphic User Interface. Developed by Dr. Lu, CNCplus series and CNCSWIFT have already been marketed for years with notable success. The software has been successfully installed in new machines, retrofitted machines and special designed machines. Building on the experience and achievements of its founding company, SDL Technologies will bring further focus to CNCplus series and CNCSWIFT, offering these solutions to all machine-tool makers and users.

As a young, dynamic and flexible company, SDL Technologies can offer a range of CNC solutions to meet different needs: From technical support for machine dealers and makers to complete CNC lathes, milling machines/machining centers, grinding machines, etc. for users.
